#NameTheBias

Yasmin Ali (Y.A) played a pivotal role in the #NameTheBias campaign by People Like Us, which spotlighted the systemic issue of name-based discrimination in UK workplaces. Her powerful poem, "What’s in a Name?", served as the centerpiece of a stark black-and-white film illustrating how ethnic minority names can hinder employment prospects and career progression. The campaign, launched on Ethnicity Pay Gap Day, was showcased at events in both the House of Lords and the Houses of Parliament The initiative garnered widespread attention, featuring in prominent publications and sparking national conversations about workplace equity and the need for mandatory ethnicity pay gap reporting.

We Will Dance Again become a viral hit on The Yatch Weeks Facebook page as an uplifting and powerful spoken word piece created for the company in response to the pandemic.

DEI Innovation
-SNAP INC

Y.A created an exceptional poem for SNAP's DEI Summit. This piece was commissioned to raise awareness on the need for more opportunities, diversity and equity in the tech industry as part of the ACT Report campaign and was also shared in the House of Commons.

Middle East Winter Tour 2025
-Four Seasons

Our Secret Lab commissioned a spoken word piece and voice over for the Four Seasons Middle East Winter Tour

50 Years of Hip Hop Icons Concert
-Money 2020

Y.A hosted the Money 2020 Hip Hop ICONS concert in Las Vegas and performed a commissioned ode to Hip Hop poem to open for the legendary Grand Master Flash.

Human X Machine
-Money 2020

Throughout 2024 Y.A and Woodzy produced  and created 911 poems and 1822 voice overs as part of the Money 2020  Europe and US Conference as "Speakers gifts" for guest speakers and delegates.
